Canada has several pilot programs that are designed to test new immigration policies and programs in order to support Canada’s economic growth and meet the needs of specific industries and communities.

Agri-Food Immigration Pilot:
This pilot program is designed to support the agri-food industry by attracting and retaining experienced workers in the sector.

Atlantic Immigration Pilot:
This pilot program is designed to address labour shortages in the Atlantic provinces of Canada by supporting the attraction and retention of skilled workers and international graduates. 

Rural and Northern Immigration Pilot:
This pilot program is designed to support the economic development of rural and northern communities in Canada by attracting and retaining skilled workers. 

Global Talent Stream:
This pilot program is designed to support Canadian employers in filling skilled positions quickly and efficiently by providing faster processing times and work permit exemptions for eligible workers in certain occupations.

Home Child Care Provider Pilot and Home Support Worker Pilot:
The Home Child Care Provider Pilot and the Home Support Worker Pilot are two pilot programs, through which eligible candidates who have experience as a home child care provider or a home support worker, and have a job offer from a Canadian employer, can apply for a work permit to come to Canada temporarily to work as a caregiver.

Eligibility requirements vary depending on the pilot program. Generally, candidates must have relevant work experience, language proficiency, and meet other criteria such as education or age.
