Patrick Brown, the Mayor of Brampton came for a short visit to Pakistan. The objective was to meet with relevant stakeholders and cultivate ties between the city of Brampton and the Pakistani business and tech community.
Ternlife team, due to its deep ties on both sides i.e Canadian community and the Pakistani business and tech community, was invited to have a meet and greet with the Mayor and his team.
In a casual setting, the Mayor and his team shared their vision regarding cultivating bi-lateral ties between Pakistan and the city of Brampton. Moreover, he shared interesting anecdotes about his trip and expressed his desire to visit Pakistan again, especially the Northern areas of the country.
Ternlife team briefed the delegation about their services, expertise and how we want to bridge the gap that exists between Pakistan and Canada in terms of immigration and especially student visa for Pakistani students.
Interestingly, the Mayor was accompanied by Asima Vezina, President and Vice-Chancellor of Algoma University. This presented a good opportunity to discuss the issues of the Pakistani students and their concerns about getting placements in Canadian universities.
It was a good session where Ternlife team and Patrick Brown and his team were able to discuss and share ideas, over a cup of coffee. All in all, a day well spent.
